In Your Words ... In Your Pictures ...
Be a Part of the Story of St. Mary Magdalen
The story of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church goes back to the first Mass in 1959,
the school’s first graduating class a few years later, the first CommunityFest.
It’s a story that continues to unfold every day -- at every moment of quiet prayer in
the grotto, with the first day of a new school year or the first baby steps at the child center.
In celebration of the parish’s upcoming 50th anniversary, we ask you to share your
memories as we prepare to put into words the story of St. Mary Magdalen Church and
the people who have been part of the journey – whether you joined decades ago
or in recent weeks.
We are looking for families and friends of St. Mary Magdalen to submit short stories about
church events and anecdotes about parish life. We are looking for the heartfelt and the
humorous. We also are interested in copies of letters and church bulletins and
certainly photographs.
Your stories will become part of the parish’s 2009 anniversary year celebration, to be
shared in different ways -- some in the weekly bulletin, others on the Web or at events,
and others in the 50th year history book.
