The St. Mary Magdalen 50th Anniversary Committee already is looking ahead to 2009 - the parish jubilee year. Looking Back with Gratitude … Looking forward with Hope. We think those words capture what St. Mary Magdalen has meant to so many of the families and friends of our parish. For the 50th anniversary year, the parish is planning a year of events -- from special liturgies to a New Year's Eve Party. And the parish is putting together a commemorative book of memories and photos that will tell the story of St. Mary Magdalen. The Anniversary Committee invites everyone to be part of the celebration -- whether you are a longtime parishioner or a newcomer to St. Mary Magdalen. |

Plant A Tree for the 50th Anniversary This year, as part of the 50th Anniversary, our parish is developing a living memorial by planting 60 trees throughout the parish campus – one for every year as a parish and 10 to grow on! Live Oaks, Queen Palms, Drake Elms, and Bald Cypresses will be officially dedicated on the 50th anniversary of our first Mass (April 2009). This living memorial will remind us to look back in gratitude and forward with hope about our parish community. Sponsor a Tree Flyer |
