Active Parenting is a 4-6 week video-based course for parents of children from
toddlers to teens. Courses run for 2 hours. There are evening courses for parents

your children and their behavior; how to deepen self esteem; how to effectively
discipline; how to establish healthy lines of communication, and how to promote
responsibility and cooperation. The courses are facilitated by trained members
of the Parenting Enrichment Team and some are mental health counselors from our
parish. Courses for parents of Elementary and Teen age children will be offered
in English and Spanish. Class size is limited to 12-15 participants. Babysitting
is available upon request. Contact Claire at the Church Office 407-831-1212. |
FAMILY
LIFE SOCIAL AFFAIRS MINISTRY
This ministry celebrates
the sacred in the ordinary. Its purpose is to plan and celebrate social events
where the whole family is welcomed and involved. The two most significant events
of our year are: Chili Cook Off and Family Camping Retreat.

LIFE SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY Resources
The
Spiritual Development Ministry focuses on developing, implementing, and supporting
programs that enhance the spirituality of the family. Besides the Family Mass,
creating an Advent Wreath for the Family, promoting the Family Reconciliation
Service at SMM and the Living Stations of the Cross in the Diocese during Lent,
we hope to offer during May a Living Rosary for families.

This
eight-week course is for any mother (married, single, divorced, widowed, stepmother,
grandmother, etc.) all ages welcome, interested in developing self-esteem, relationship
skills, and deepening her sense of spirituality. Those who attend develop deep
personal friendships and become eager to reach out to our parish family to share
their gifts and strengths in the future. Three women who are trained by the Diocese
of Orlando act as facilitators for the program. We offer an evening and morning
program in the Fall and the Spring. The group is limited to 10 participants each
session. Childcare is available upon request. Cost is $30 for materials, but no
one will be denied due to lack of funds. For more information contact
Regina March. For photos from this year's Celebration of New Beginnings dinner

GROUP Resources

This
is a group of mothers who come together every other Tuesday morning in Annex #
7 from 9:15-11 AM to share friendship and faith, support each other emotionally
and physically, and enrich their personal and family lives through informative
speakers, discussions, and group activities. They also reach out to serve women
in the parish who have recently become mothers or who have lost a child through
miscarriage. | THE
SUPPER CLUB
This
ministry seeks to help families get to know different families in our parish.
It includes singles of all ages as well as Single Parent families. After signing
up for this ministry, a coordinator will assign a group of families (usually between
4-5) to meet at the home of a designated family. The next month families will
rotate. Each month the family at whose home the gathering will be held informs
the other families to bring part of the meal. This is a great way to meet others
in our Parish in a new and exciting way. Sign up to chair this group or to participate.
