Awakening
February 17 - March 21
My Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
I have a special invitation for you: Join us at Sunday Mass for this sacred season of Lent. Maybe you feel you are walking in darkness or uncertainty, or burdened by the weight of all we have experienced in the last year. I invite you into a journey of exploration and a reawakening of faith. Join us for Lent, all of us seekers of the nearness of God and the brilliance of the light of Jesus Christ.
Lent is the springtime of church, when the days grow longer and the weather slowly changes, the rich green color returns to remind us of the beauty of God's created order and our place in this world.
Each Sunday, we invite you to our message series AWAKENING, and reflect upon what God is calling you to this Lent.
May God keep you and bless you,
Fr. Charlie Mitchell, Pastor

An Evening of Remembrance in Year of Pandemic
Tuesday, March 9 at 7PM in the church
We come together in prayer as we approach the one-year mark of the pandemic in our community, a uniquely difficult year to grieve the loss of a loved one. Lent gives us a perfect spiritual opportunity to grieve as we reflect on the Passion, the Death and the Resurrection of Christ. Father Charlie, along with the Saint Mary Magdalen Liturgy and Music and Consolation ministries, invite you to come together for a night of remembrance, songs, reflection, and prayers for our loved ones and also for each other in the past year, especially those family members and friends lost to Covid-19
Please RSVP to help us better prepare the church space to welcome you. Livestream is also available. Please share this link with your family and friends. Register
Note to grieving families and friends: Please send to us names of your loved one who died from March 9, 2020 to March 9, 2021. You are welcome to send us a prayer from your heart that has helped bring you comfort and healing. We may share your prayers with other grieving families. office@stmarymagdalen.org
