On Friday, July 14, 2023, on the occasion of the retirement celebration of Fr. Charlie Mitchell as pastor, the Finance and Pastoral Council of St. Mary Magdalen Parish announced the creation of the FR. CHARLIE MITCHELL HOPE SCHOLARSHIP to benefit young women and men of the Peace Orphanage, our parish mission in Mexico City.

Father Charlie and the Friends of Peace Orphanage Ministry have faithfully led our parish efforts for many years to support the sisters and the children who are now one family. As the children graduate from the high school age, they are ready to start a new journey — the Fr. Charlie Mitchell Hope Scholarship Fund aims to support them in their steps toward advanced learning in many fields and in opportunities to attend college.

You can participate in the scholarship program directly on the website via online giving – or with checks via mail or checks/cash using envelopes found in the church or parish office.
